Welcome to 2015!

So very many updates, so lets get started
First of all, we've had a leadership change as many of you know.

Andy, thank you for your passion and dedication to the youth in SNSW, we appreciate and have been blessed by your ministry. We wish you and your family God's blessing as you embark on your next chapter
Hayden, welcome back to SNSW, welcome to the team, we're glad to have you and look forward to having you here and your ministry to our conference. Pop on over to the about page, to get to know a little more about Hayden

Big camp 2015 was legendary!! We hope you were able to come, and be a part of it, and if you couldn't, then we're hoping for next year!
 If you want to send in your pictures, we will collate them and put some of them up on the Big Camp page. You will find some video there as well, so after clicking on About Us, to learn about Hayden, check it out!

AND,
when you're done with that, don't rush off because the year is only just beginning! Applications for both staff and campers for JET camp are out now, so if you would like to come, download an application form, or fill out the online registration form. Both are available on the Jet Camp page, in the events menu!

We also have Global Youth Day, and Week of Spiritual Emphasis coming up super soon, so check those out as well, as there is some exciting stuff happening and you definitely want to be a part of it! Both of which have links in the Events menu!

We hope you have had a great start to the year!

Youth Rally

Coming up very soon is the Youth Rally in Canberra on August 30. It's going to be a lot more fun if you come together as a group from your church or region, so chat to your pastor or youth pastor if you want to come, and don't forget to bring your friends!

Applications are now open for Shred It 4, and you definitely don't want to miss out this year! There are a variety of options, and its promising to be a fantastic weekend. Get your application in early to guarantee a spot! More info, and an online application form in the Events Menu above.

Annual Global Sacrifice offering - Sept 14

Time for a little history...
Over ninety years ago the Seventh-day Adventist church found itself with a budget deficit of a quarter of a million dollars.  Without money to continue financing mission projects around the world, church leaders were faced with the discouraging possibility of recalling missionaries.  

General Conference delegates prayerfully decided to ask church members to begin giving a week’s wage in a once-a-year sacrificial offering.  Despite the difficult economic climate of the 1920s the church responded by giving over $350,000 to what became known as the annual Week of Sacrifice offering.  The missionaries were able to continue their work, and members were blessed by the act of personal sacrifice.

Today the Week of Sacrifice Offering averages over $3.8 million dollars and one hundred percent of the annual Sacrifice Offering goes to frontline Global Mission work to establish new churches in un-entered areas.  



There are many faces of mission. A man sharing Jesus in the gang-controlled slums of Brazil. A woman holding secret Bible studies at her home in China. A couple reaching out to AIDS victims in Africa. A church plant in urban Australia. All are Global Mission pioneers, who every day bring people around the world to meet Jesus. This is a very practical and simple way to be involved in mission!  If you would like to contribute, on September 14, simply mark “Annual Sacrifice” on your offering envelope. .

If you can't this year, thats ok, but consider planning to help next year!

Single and Awesome?

Adventures await!! Join the Adventist Singles Network in the SPD, and check out events where you can hang with people who get what its like to be single! You can even join on Facebook.
They are looking for ideas for under 35 year olds, so speak up and get involved, get inspired, get motivated to make the most of your singleness!




One of the reasons so many singles are dissatisfied is that they're looking for a change in status to define their significance, rather than finding a purpose in life, granted by God, that gives them significance regardless of the status they're in.

Shred It 3 / Youth Rally

If you haven't already, its time to get your application in for Shred It 3, Winter Camp. As always, its going to be a great weekend (26-29 July). As a bonus this year, there is also a Youth Rally on Sabbath (with the very inspiring Pr Tim Gillespie as our speaker), which can be included as part of your Shred It 3 weekend, or separately.  Information and applications in the event menu, or at the calendar on the side.

Please note that while the Youth Rally is automatically included in your Shred It weekend, anyone wishing to come just for the Youth rally, MUST register via the provided application form.

Dig out your warmies, this one is not to be missed. (Registration closes July 11)

SNSW Youth Week of Prayer coming soon to a location near you!!

Get ready for a week of blessing! Pr Andy, and Pr Richard Reid will be roadtripping around the conference taking this years SNSW week of prayer to as many places in the conference as they can. Here's the current plan:

3 May Friday NIGHT Albury Youth Vespers 6:30pm-9pm at Albury Adventist Church

4 May Sabbath Wagga Wagga will host the South East Youth Regional (South East of our South NSW Conference) (Find this event on Facebook!)

5 May Sunday night Griffith Youth WOP meeting 6pm

6 May Monday night Narromine WOP meeting 6:30pm at the church

7 May Tuesday morning Narromine Christian School visit and worship time and games (9am to 1:30pm then off to Bathurst!) 7 May Tuesday night Bathurst Church 6:30pm WOP meeting at the Adventist Church

8 May Wednesday night Bowral/Dapto WOP meeting 6:30pm VENUE TBA

9 May Thursday night Bega/Moruya meeting 6:30pm,Venue 33 Glen-Mia Drive, Bega which is Pr Jimmy's house

10 May Friday night Canberra National Vespers 7-10pm

11 May Sabbath 11am Youth Service @ South Canberra Church

Happy New Year

We're already well into the swing of 2013, having already had Youth Congress and Big Camp. Its going to continue as it started with some training weekends coming up in the next couple of months, and of course Jet Camp in April.

Jet Camp Apr 16-21
You can now register for Jet Camp as a camper or a staff member online! Staff applications need to be in earlier than camper applications, so if you're interested, you know what to do!

Application forms are now available in the "2013 Events" menu, so get them in early to make sure your spot is reserved!

It seems like a long time away, but its truly not! And if you want the early bird rate, you need to book before July 31st, so now is the time
